Another fun pub in Chicago, Haymarket Pub & Brewery is a great place to spend an afternoon sampling beers with friends.
They offer a fairly extensive list of house beers, but one that seems to be loaded with IPA's. Either their customers really demand IPA options or their brewer is one focused IPA specialist. In terms of theses IPA's, Peace Frog is a fine beer. A hemp-like ale that is supper earthy, super bitter and loaded with hops. Certainly extremely fresh and the first beer I'd recommend for any visitor.
In addition to their house brews, Haymarket also has an impressive list of guest beers on tap. During my visit, I had the opportunity to sample Lost Abbey's Serpent Stout and SKA brewing's Imperial IPA. Both of these beers were amazing and left me wanting more.
