Last Friday we went to the Dogfish Head Ale house in Falls Church, VA, which allowed me the opportunity to try their recently released "Bitches Brew".
BB was apparently created to honor the 40th anniversary of the Miles Davis album by the same name. Dogfish Head has a fairly conprehensive write up of the origin and meaning of the beer on their site if you are looking for more background:
In terms of my thoughts, it tasted like a thicker, sweeter, Russian imperial stout. Wonderful aroma and mouthfeel. If I can find a bottle of it this fall, I might grab it to age for next year. It should be available in the next few months across most of the country. If you can find it, I'd recommend it, especially during the colder months ahead.
