Imperial Pumking

Is it me or are pumpkin beers showing up earlier and earlier?

I use to ignore all of them and write off the Pumpkin flavors as a simple gimmick to sell more. To me, they never really tasted like pumpkin and even less like good beer. But last fall, my cousin introduced me to Southern Tier's Imperial Pumkng, a 9% abv pumpkin beer that tastes like a buttery smooth pumpkin pie.

Not for every day drinking, but a nice treat when looking for the flavors of fall.

I was told that the last cases of it have been shipped from Southern Tier, so if you spot one on the shelf, grab it before it's gone until next year...
