Outer Banks Brewing Station

You know what sounds like fun? Starting a brewpub at the beach.  Really, what goes better with beach life than beer?   In addition to local fresh beer, OBBS is environmentally friendly and advertises as America’s first wind-powered brewery.

I stumbled onto this place while in town last fall.  The Olsch and Lemongrass Wheat Ale were said to be favorites, and I can see why as they’d be perfect thirst quenchers after spending a hot day at the beach.  But, I was there in the fall and the Conquest IPA and Iron Binnacle Baltic Porter took good care of me.  I tried both with a plate of North Carolina Steamed Shrimp and envisioned how good it’d feel to return some summer day...
