ABC Gettysburg

We recently spent a day at Gettysburg biking the battlefields and learning some history. After 5 hours on the bike, we were exhausted, luckily for us, Appalachian Brewing Company was there to save the day.

AS their slogan states, the beer was "notably fresh". I sampled the Hoppy Trails IPA, the Purist Pale Ale and the 666, which was a strong Porter (7.7%). The IPA was probably my favorite, pairing well with their root beer BBQ wings and pulled pork sandwich.

I grabbed a few to-go bottles - the Jolly Scott Scottish Ale was excellent as was the Organic Nut Brown (PA's first and only certified organic brew)
