Brewing Update...
On August 14th I brewed my winter beer, a Maple Syrup Porter.
I ordered ingredients from Midwest Brewing in Minneapolis and spiked their high alcohol recipe for porter with a jar of my families homemade maple syrup.
I'll be bottling this weekend and plan to prime the bottles with more maple syrup.
My fingers are crossed that I've created a tasty treat for the cooler winter months. My hydrometer is indicating that I have, at least, created I lethal winter warmer in terms of ABV.
